I started my ceramic journey with a love for the potter’s wheel and have progressed to incorporating various hand forming processes in my practice. My designs are informed by capturing moments of softness of the clay, feeling of movement, human touch in the final form. Other influences that inform my practice are pattern and color in the natural world. I am most happy creating when I can play with new forms and surfaces, investigating new ideas. This is why I only make limited batches of each design so I can keep my creative mind fresh and continue to evolve my work. My hope is that each piece that I make brings a little smile to the user’s face, a lovely object visually but also a joy to hold and use.
